On February 28 1909 in the US, first women celebration was started. This holiday was observed in the country on the last Sunday of February until 1913. First of all the Idea comes for establishing this annual international Women's Day belongs to German social activist Clara zetkin.
In August 1910 she address the conference of working women in Copenhagen and her suggestion was supported by more than hundred women from all over the countries but 17 women of the countries take part on this day but at the time no date was specified in the conference. And in March 8 1914 the women protests was held and the women come from Russia, US, Germany, Switzerland, Denmark, Netherlands and other some countries and at that time the date was extinguished.
But The UN begins to celebrates international Women's Day in 1975 and this holiday was celebrated in the Soviet Union in 1919 and government was made an official holiday in 1965. As a result of this March 8 was declared as a public holiday in all the countries that is Afghanistan, Nepal, Cambodia, Asia and other African countries. On this occaison day men traditionally gives flower, roses and other small as well as large gifts to their mom, wives, girlfriend, daughter, colleges and other women.
